The teams that made it to the play-off stage in the seventh edition of Pakistan Super League have been decided and the teams of Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators have been eliminated from the play-off race.
Defending champions Multan Sultans continued their excellent run from the start of the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League, winning nine of 10 matches.
Sultans also became the first team to achieve 109 victories in the round stage of the league and finished round matches as the top team in the points table.
Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi have played nine matches so far but Qalandars in second position can retain their position in the points table despite losing to Zalmi.
Qalandars have won six out of nine matches while Zalmi has won five matches.
Islamabad United won four out of 10 matches while Quetta Gladiators also won four matches. However, due to better run rate, United managed to make it to the next round.
For the Karachi Kings, Enout’s seventh season was nothing short of a nightmare and they suffered a series of setbacks in their first eight matches.
The goddess of fortune was kind to him in the ninth match and he defeated Lahore Qalandars. However, today Quetta Gladiators also defeated him and inflicted ninth overall defeat.
The PSL play-off matches will be decided tomorrow after the last league match which will be played between Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars.
