United delegation meets Fazlur Rehman, discusses important issues including local government law

ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan met Maulana Fazlur Rehman, leader of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and Ameer of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F).

The MQM Pakistan delegation called on Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence. The MQM delegation included former Karachi Mayor Wasim Akhtar and Amir Khan among others, who were received by Maulana Asad Mahmood and Senator Kamran Murtaza.

During the meeting, local body law, political situation of the country and other issues were discussed while MQM Pakistan presented the local body law of Sindh and the situation after the decision of the Supreme Court to Maulana.

Talking to media after the meeting with MQM leader Aamir Khan, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that when it comes to devolution of power to lower level, the constitution is our best guide in this matter.
